maps are used for debugging. Another solution is to enable inline maps (they are supported badly by chrome and webstorm) or use file:// protocol, but that require heavy webpack config refactoring, so we stay with external map files for now GitOrigin-RevId: f824b09ca94b6068e8f7345d609bbd7b4e180857
