Change url to https://api.github.com/gists Prepare request as JSON according to http://developer.github.com/v3/gists/ Use Gson lib to form and parse JSON. Set the request as request entity (instead of post parameters) Handle errors better: show notification + write to the log Show success message as Notification instead of Messages, because on Mac text can't be copied from the sheet dialog.
