Investigated current implementation and made some adjustments:
- better logging of the processes obtaining process
- better naming for variables and methods
- some javadocs
- structural changes: conditions inversion, inlining and extraction of methods
- adjusted user-visible messages
- some annotations
- changed order of some fail conditions (made light ones before heavy ones)
- few missing toString methods

No real business logic changes
